About the Senior Account Director role at BioStrata

It’s an exciting time to join BioStrata – as part of our ongoing growth, we’re looking for someone to join our expanding client services team.

Your role would be to work as a Senior Account Director on several client accounts to create, drive and help execute strategic marketing plans.

We want to help you leverage your marketing skills and experience to have an impact, both through working with exciting life science clients, and mentoring your account team to reach their full potential. We will also work hard to ensure you will be recognised and rewarded for your hard work and your contribution to BioStrata's ongoing success.

 

What are the key responsibilities? 

As a Senior Account Director within our client services team, you will lead strategic-level projects across a diverse mix of client accounts. You will manage a team of like-minded colleagues, developing them along with yourself and your clients. Your role will include:

  • Working as a Senior Account Director across a portfolio of clients, supported by a team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers.
  • Interpreting the business challenges and marketing objectives of BioStrata’s clients to design marketing strategies which deliver on commercial goals.
  • Conduct customer and competitor research, develop brand and product value propositions, buyer personas and messaging to create the strategic foundation on which tactical communication plans are built.
  • Creating integrated communication plans that are targeted to the needs of the customer, applying in-depth knowledge of B2B marketing tactics to select appropriate activities and channels that deliver results.
  • Managing and executing against tactical plans by briefing and working with our specialist public relations, paid media, content, design and development teams to deliver high-quality results, on deadline and to budget.
  • Overseeing an account team of Account Managers and Account Execs, who will manage and execute against these marketing plans by briefing and working with our specialist executional writing, design and development teams to deliver results, on deadline and on budget.
  • Review content, assets, and deliverables to ensure they are of high-quality, effectively meet or exceed the brief, and effectively communicate key client messages.
  • Build client relationships, manage projects and effectively communicate expectations, plans and results across the combined agency-client team.
  • Maintain team revenue and capacity forecasts, manage team workload and deploy resources to meet the requirements of projects including flagging key issues, potential bottlenecks and additional resource requirements.
  • Be able to communicate with clarity and manage accountabilities throughout the team for strong teamwork and delivery of excellent, high-quality work.

 

What skills are required?

Ideally, you will have:

  • Over 8 years of experience working in an integrated marketing agency, with a minimum of 5 years experience in B2B.
  • Previous experience working with clients that operate globally, particularly Europe and US.
  • Skilled in marketing strategy development including research, customer and competitor insight, customer profiling, messaging development, brand strategy and development of brand visual identities.
  • A broad channel and tactical experience such as content marketing, paid media (trade press, social, search), email marketing, media relations/ PR, SEO, account based marketing, lead nurturing and sales enablement.
  • A proven track record of winning new business and account retention and development.
  • Experience with reviewing project materials produced by the team (e.g. white papers, blogs, press releases, articles, media pitches, metrics reports, etc.), providing insightful QA and QC input.
  • Line management experience providing guidance and mentoring support to account managers and account executives.
  • Creative concepting and design/ artworking experience including developing creative platforms and multi-channel campagin assets.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and someone who thrives on taking responsibility and accountability.
  • A scientific background (e.g. BSc or PHD in a science-related subject) is preferred but not essential.
