Project Manager

About the Project Manager role at BioStrata

The role of Project Manager will be to operate within the agency, working across all accounts as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Project set-up

  • Collect and store project documentation
  • Set-up project in our project management system (EasyRedMine)

Project execution

  • Directly project manage a selection of client accounts
  • Ensure timely and accurate data /time entry by team members
  • Updating project schedules, Gantt charts and actions plans
  • Ensure GDPR compliance
  • Briefing and coordinating with freelancers
  • Supporting the account management team
  • Liaise with client contacts when necessary

Project controls

  • Creation of budget and project reports
  • Updating scorecards
  • Manage risks, SOPs and process updates
  •  Identify improvement areas for internal processes, deliverables and communication

Project close

  • Achieve project objectives on time and within budget
  • Focus on profitability, productivity and service levels
  • Manage the use of time and resources
  • Forecast capacity requirements
  • Quality assessment and control of the work delivered by internal teams and external suppliers
  • Make the arrangement for projects documentation on the recommendation and specification of the owner and ensure that specifications are met
  • Meet the project owner, set specification, or make a higher standard
  • Meet with the team and ensure that each member is given an opportunity to make suggestions regarding the executions of the project
  • Suggest strategies of achieving the project goals to the owner

What skills are required?

We are looking for someone who shares our values and believes in our mission that also has:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing marketing or PR related projects
  • Previous experience working with clients that operate globally including creating, managing and executing projects that deliver results
  • A great team player and collaborator, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but is also able to work independently
  • Passionate about delivering results for clients - not just projects
  • Incredible organisation skills and attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to remain calm, approachable and productive whilst under pressure
  • Strong MS Excel skills and highly numerate
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience with reviewing project materials produced by the team (e.g. press release, articles, media pitches, metrics reports etc.), providing insightful QA and QC input
  • A positive, proactive attitude and someone who thrives on taking responsibility and accountability
  • A diverse and deep knowledge of the modern marketing mix
  • A strong eye for detail, as well as a keen eye for detail and a passion for the highest possible standards of work quality
  • Agency experience is desirable but not essential

  • Location: Our head office is in Cambridge, UK (but remote and hybrid options are also available)
  • Salary: Our salaries are very competitive based on salaries in the UK. We also offer a wide range of benefits and an attractive bonus scheme:
    • Project manager salary band: £30k - £40k  (dependent on previous experience)
